Harold Johnson has been involved with the Cork City flag day collection for over 40 years. He and his late wife Chloe – who passed away last year - organised collectors and collected on the Savoy side of Patrick Street every year without fail.
In recent years he was instrumental in rousing the businessmen of Cork to collect - a sight never seen at any Cork collection previously. His son Shane is an artist painted a very popular Christmas card of Baltimore Lifeboat, which raised funds and awareness for RNLI.
More recently they raised €4,500 for the Baltimore Lifeboat Easter Walk. Shane was with his Dad Harold who was awarded the Certificate of Thanks
