Institution’s Certificate of Thanks to Susan Draper.

Kinsale RNLI fundraising committee member Susan Draper has been selected by the RNLI Council to receive the Institution’s Certificate of Thanks in recognition of her individual services.

Mrs. Draper, with the assistance of her son Trevor, (a helm in the Kinsale RNLI), and daughter Leslie, has organised the highly successful Spalpeen Race and Club Evening at Kinsale Yacht Club every September in memory of her late husband, Billy.

The yacht 'Spalpeen' was one of the first yachts in what was to become the Kinsale Yacht Club. The event was founded by Susan in memory of her husband Billy Draper, (the skipper/owner of the said yacht Spalpeen), it now runs anually as an All-In event in aid of Kinsale RNLI. With AUCTIONS, FOOD and ENTERTAINMENT this is a great FAMILY EVENT!

The award will be presented later in the year.
