<description>Sunday, 19-Mar-2006 12.33: Kinsale Lifeboat is launched in response to a MAYDAY call from yacht X-BLONDIE. The yacht had been in collision with a larger yacht during a racing meet. The yacht went to the bottom so quickly that the skipper was allowed time for only 1 MAYDAY call. Thankfully the 4 crew were rescued uninjured. The Kinsle Lifeboat checked the area for debris before returning to base (and luckily not losing it's place in the St.Patricks Day Parade.</description>

The Fishing boat had to stop its overheating engine after a cooling system failure. The Kinsale inshore lifeboat SALLY ANNE sped to the scene and took the vessel under tow to the Kinsale Yacht Club marina and safety.</description>

<description>Saturday, 17-Dec-2005: Kinsale Lifeboat is launched in response to call for aid after car and driver accidentally slide off slipway near Scilly Dam - less than 600m from Lifeboat Station. ^M

The Lifeboat is on the scene in under 5 minutes. The female driver is rescued from the car, but no pulse is found. CPR is immediately appplied at the scence and the lady is revived. Ambulance crew then take her directly to hospital where her condition is unfortunately reported critical. ^M
